Ashley’s Thoughts

Life is going well in the Chambers household. Cole and I have now been married for 2 years, crazy how time flies right? We’ve been busy getting to know one other, growing up together and exploring what it means to be married and parents at the same time. Sometimes it feels as if we’ll never get it, other times it feels that we’ve been doing it forever and are acing it. Marriage is really good, actually no AMAZING. Cole and I were talking about it the other day and both of us feel like we wished our marriage would have been the way it is now for the first 2 years of marriage. All I have to say to those of you engaged or just married…stick it out. Fights, selfishness, and all the other “common” problems in marriage can be worked through with lots of love patience and the ability to continually talk it out. When we marry young, it is harder because not only are you figuring things out in marriage, but you’re still growing up too and sometimes lack the maturity to deal, but it’s very much worth it. I wouldn’t change the first two years, but I would maybe treat my husband differently.

So, other than marriage, Cole has been working hard the last few months leading men’s ministry at our church and giving short little sermons every week. Due to this, Cole has sincerely felt the Lord calling him to ministry and is in the process of applying for Bible College to pursue this.

I’ve been busy working at Elderhealth, although I absolutely love my job there and all that I do, I’ve really been dreading the commute and have felt that I’m missing out on Oren’s life. I’m possibly considering starting an in home daycare. So, if you know of anyone who needs childcare send them my way.

Oren is now 7 months old, can you believe it. He’s busier than ever. Crawling (well army crawling) and into everything. I swear he has amazing eyesight; he’ll see something on the floor from across the room and crawl all the way over all for a tiny minute speck of something. It’s absolutely amazing. Then of course mommy has to rush over and take it from his mouth–which of course he hates. He’s also very fascinated with music and will stop screaming just to listen to mommy or daddy’s voice singing hymns or worship songs mostly.

I hope all of you are well and find yourself at peace.

Love ya All,
Ashley
